A person walking by a truck noticed a man inside and called 911, according to a news release from the Greenfield Police Department.
When officers arrived, they realized that the man may have been there for a few days. Investigators found a dog dead inside the truck as well.
According to the GPD, investigators are working to obtain video footage from businesses in the area to determine when the man arrived in the parking lot.
The coroner’s office is working to determine the cause of death, and the man’s identity will not be released until next of kin have been notified.

The investigation is continuing. The police department said there does not seem to be any criminal activity and no danger to the community. They have not released any more information.
