Colonel Meow Hold Guinness World Record in 2014
The Himalayan-Persian cross-breed has a feather that reaches 22.87 cm (9in) and features in the new Guinness World Records 2014 book that came out on September 12.
A two-year-old cat named ‘ Colonel Meow ‘ by its owners, Anne Marie Avey and Eric Rosario, due to her “epic wrinkles and Feathers”, will celebrate her achievements today at their home in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Anne Marie said, “We already know that she is the best cat in the world, but to be admitted in Guinness World Records book takes it to the next level.”
Colonel Meow, who was adopted as a rescue cat from the Himalaya & Persian Society, desired his hair to be combed 3 to 5 times a week.
The couple said that they never used the product on the hair Colonel Meow, using only the water and clean if it was grimy.
The chief editor of Guinness World Records, Craig Glenday, said: “Colonel Meow is prepared to be a star, and I know the hairy cat will be a big thumb up with the reader. He is an extraordinary creature, and he will surely inspire people around the world to lift their rulers and start measuring their own cat hair.
