The bald eagle chicks are can be preyed upon by bobcats, snakes, wolverines, black bears, foxes, raccoons, and large birds such as owls, golden eagles.

Another possible bald eagle enemy is parasites such as bow flies that can be infected eagle nests and kill a young bald eagle.
